PROMISE OF THE DAY: HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATHS.
INTRODUCTION TO DAY 1.
Welcome to the first day of our 7-day journey of focusing on the promises of God. Today, we begin with the theme of Divine Guidance, exploring how God’s promises offer direction and clarity in our lives. This day is about understanding and embracing the promise that God will lead us through life’s complexities and uncertainties.
MEDITATION FOCUS FOR GRATITUDE: GUIDANCE AND DIRECTION.
Reflect on the moments in your life where you’ve felt guided or directed by the hand of God. Be thankful for the times you faced crossroads and felt a sense of clarity or direction that seemed beyond your understanding. Appreciate the wisdom in scripture, prayer, and spiritual insights illuminating your path. Recognize and give thanks for the presence of divine guidance in your life, leading you towards growth and fulfilment.
MEDITATION FOCUS FOR PROMISE: PROVERBS 3:5-6.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Reflect on this scripture and consider what it means to truly trust in the Lord and not solely rely on personal understanding. Think about how submitting your ways to God can lead to clear and straight paths in your life.
PRACTICE FOR THE DAY.
Start your day with a prayer or meditation, asking for guidance and the ability to trust in God’s direction. Throughout the day, whenever you face decisions or moments of uncertainty, pause and remind yourself of Proverbs 3:5-6. Reflect on this promise and how it applies to the situation at hand. Before making decisions, consider what it means to seek divine guidance and trust in it. End your day with a journaling exercise, noting any moments where you felt guided or where you struggled to trust in divine direction.
Day 1 of our journey is an invitation to deepen our trust in God’s guidance, acknowledging that while we may not always understand the path ahead, we can be assured that we are being led with divine wisdom and love.
