PF ACCUSES UPND OF STATE-ORGANISED ECONOMIC SABOTAGE IN HOT FM RADIO CLASH
By Brian Matambo – Sandton, South Africa
During the Hot Seat program on Hot FM Radio, on Thursday 24 July, 2025, the PF and Tonse Alliance Secretary General made a damning assertion that under the UPND administration, Zambia has witnessed an “abnormal and exponential increase in illicit financial flows”, totaling over K140 billion lost, a level of economic leakage not seen under PF rule. He argued this is no longer mere corruption, but “state-organised economic sabotage.”
He contrasted this with the PF era, acknowledging that while some flaws existed, there was accountability and structure. Under UPND, he claimed, billions are being siphoned to offshore accounts with full knowledge, or at least willful ignorance, by those in power. This loss, he emphasised, could have funded nearly K1 billion per constituency, boosting development at the grassroots level.
Quote:
“Under PF, you could trace the flaws. Under UPND, this is organised theft. K140 billion lost isn’t just corruption—it’s economic sabotage.”
This framing positions PF as a party of structured governance and fiscal order, contrasting it with what they describe as UPND’s chaotic, foreign-leaning, and self-serving rule.
