PF SECRETARY GENERAL NAKACHINDA STRIKES CHORD WITH TRUST LEADERSHIP CHARTER

By Brian Matambo – Lusaka, Zambia

The Patriotic Front (PF) and Tonse Alliance Secretary General, Hon. Raphael Nakachinda, has ignited a fresh wave of momentum across Zambia’s political landscape after delivering a powerful address framed around three symbolic portraits: the founding vision of Michael Sata, the legacy of Edgar Lungu, and a new charter of leadership anchored in the principle of TRUST.

The speech, released on Saturday in a documentary-style video, has drawn impressive engagement across social media. On YouTube it has nearly 18,000 views, 417 likes, and 180 comments. On Facebook, where the message appears to have resonated most strongly, the video has attracted over 2,500 reactions, 377 comments, and 126 shares since its publication on August 24.

Many viewers hailed the address as “timely,” “unifying,” and “the message Zambia has been waiting for.” The tone of the feedback highlights a growing appetite for disciplined leadership and values-driven politics.

THE POWER OF TRUST
At the center of Nakachinda’s message was the third portrait: TRUST, a leadership charter redefining how Zambia’s next leader must be chosen. Each letter carries weight: Transparency, Responsibility, Unity, Service, and Transformation. Together they offer not just a slogan but a moral compass for governance.

Among these, Unity struck the deepest chord. Nakachinda emphasized that Zambia’s next leader must not merely gather votes, but gather people. “If you are not chosen, will you still purposefully contribute to the unity of the party, of the opposition alliance, and of the nation?” he asked.

That question quickly became the talking point among supporters. One Facebook commenter wrote, “This is the first time in years I feel PF is speaking with one voice again.” Another added, “Unity is the only path to victory in 2026, no faction, no bitterness, just Zambia first.”

LEADERSHIP RESILIENCE
Observers note that Nakachinda’s performance reflects not just rhetorical skill but resilience. In the face of state harassment and ongoing legal battles, he has emerged as a steady voice, refusing to let the PF be defined by its challenges. Instead, he has recast the party as a movement with deep grassroots roots, one that belongs to marketeers, taxi drivers, small-scale farmers, welders, barbers, and grandmothers alike.

LOOKING AHEAD – INDEPENDENCE 2.0
As the nation heads toward the 2026 elections, the PF faces the pivotal task of choosing its next leader. Nakachinda made clear that the process must be guided by TRUST, not by ambition or propaganda. In his words, “The next PF President will not rise on money. They will not rise on empty popularity. They will rise on one thing, and one thing only, TRUST.”

For many supporters, this marks the beginning of what has been dubbed Independence 2.0. It is a second liberation, not from colonial powers, but from economic hardship, political repression, and broken promises.

The motto is already gaining traction: MAKE ZAMBIA FREE AGAIN.

As one supporter put it on Facebook: “This is not just about PF. This is about Zambia.”
